The Gem Room is a members-only virtual classroom hosted by Shop LC and led by Dr. Athena Perrakis, founder of Sage Goddess. Each month she opens a single subject in depth — the geology, the history, the mythology and the practice — and shows you how to actually work with the stones in your own life.
No catching up. No prerequisites.
Unlike a traditional course, every Gem Room masterclass is complete in itself. Join in month one or month nine — you will never be behind, and you will never need to have attended a previous class to follow along.

Class tools are optional and purchased separately. Monthly memberships are charged at enrollment and renew on the 25th for the following month's classroom.

When you'll be charged
Your first payment covers your first classroom. After that, monthly memberships renew on the 25th for the following month's class, so you are never charged twice for the same classroom. Annual VIP is paid once, with no monthly class charges during your term.

Frequently asked
Do I need prior gemstone knowledge?
No. The Gem Room welcomes beginners and experienced collectors alike.
What exactly is The Gem Room?
A members-only virtual masterclass series on shoplc.com, taught live each month by
Dr. Athena Perrakis of Sage Goddess. Each session is a two-hour deep dive into one
subject in crystal wisdom and gemology, with a replay you can return to afterwards.
Do I have to start in month one?
No. This is the main difference between The Gem Room and a traditional course —
every masterclass is designed to stand on its own. Join in any month and you will be
able to follow the class fully without having attended the ones before it.
When do classes begin?
Start date to be confirmed - currently expected December 2026 or January 2027.
What is the difference between Masterclass and VIP?
Both include the full live class, the replay and the class notes. VIP adds a live
member Q&A session with Athena after each class, plus access to the archive of
past Q&A recordings. Annual VIP is the same as VIP, paid once for the year.
Are classes live, and can I watch them later?
Classes are taught live online so you can take part. A replay is added to your
My Gem Room library afterwards and stays available
Do I need to buy crystals or tools?
No. Class tools are entirely optional. If you would like the stones Athena is working
with that month, curated kits are available separately on shoplc.com
How does billing work?
You are charged when you enroll, which secures your place in the next class. After
that, memberships renew on a shared date — the 25th of each month — for the following
month's class. Annual VIP is a single payment with no monthly renewal.
Can I cancel?
Cancellation and refund policy TBC shortly.
Will I receive a certificate?
Yes. Students who complete all 12 masterclasses receive a signed Certificate of
Completion.
Will I need a Shop LC account?
Yes. From launch, you will sign in with your existing Shop LC account to reach
My Gem Room, where your classes, replays and notes are kept together.
