This policy describes the personal information we collect through our website, mobile application, Smart TV Application, IVR & Community Forum that reference this policy (together “Shop LC Services”), how such information may be used, with whom it may be shared, the measures taken by Shop LC to safeguard such personal information, and how you can contact to know about our privacy practices.

We collect your personal information through our website, mobile app, Smart TV App, IVR & Community Forum to fulfill your orders and continually improve our products and services. Your transaction history and the personal information you provide voluntarily on our website and applications is stored securely in our customer database along with customer information received from other sources.

The following are the types of personal information we collect:

  • In case you have placed an order for a Shop LC item via marketplaces such as Amazon, eBay, Walmart, Google, Overstock & Wish, we will obtain your contact information from them to process your order.

    Our website presently does not store your credit card information, and any of your credit card information that may be stored in other Shop LC systems is protected by firewalls.

HOW WE USE THE INFORMATION WE OBTAIN
We may use the information you provide to -

  • Fulfill your orders, respond to your requests, customize future shopping.
  • Manage your Shop LC Account.
  • Send you news updates, promotional materials and other communications.

  • You can access your information, including your name, address, payment options, profile information, order history, in the "My Account" section of the website/app. You can also add or update certain information.
  • Many Shop LC Services also include settings that provide you with options to change how your information is being used.
  • You may contact us to remove your information from our mailing lists/update your preferences or submit a request.

ELIGIBILITY TO USE OUR SERVICES

Shop LC services are strictly intended for use by individuals over the age of 18 only. Use or operation of Shop LC services by any person who is under the age of 18 is a violation of this policy.

Should we inadvertently acquire personal information or other information from users under the age of 18, we will not knowingly provide this data to any third party for any purpose. If a child does provide us with personal information over Shop LC services, a parent or guardian of that child may contact us and upon notification, we will delete from our records any information collected.

By accessing or using Shop LC services you represent and warrant that: (1) you are not a child as per by the laws of your country; (2) you are legally permitted to use Shop LC services;(3) your use of Shop LC services has not previously been suspended or revoked; and (4) your use of Shop LC services is allowed by and is in compliance with any and all applicable laws and regulations.

The Right to Request Your Information Sold or Disclosed for A Business Purpose

California Civil Code Section 1798.115 guarantees you the right to request that businesses subject to the law that sell or disclose your personal information for business purposes disclose to you:

  • The categories of personal information that the business has collected about you;
  • The categories of personal information sold about you, as well as the categories of third parties to whom the personal information was sold, by category of personal information for each party to whom information was sold; and
  • The categories of personal information that have been disclosed for a business purpose.

 

The Right to Request the Deletion of Information Collected About You

California Civil Code Section 1798.105 guarantees you the right to request that businesses subject to the law delete any personal information about you that we have collected from you.

Upon receiving a verified request to delete your personal information, we will do so unless it is necessary to maintain your information to –

  • Complete the transaction for which the personal information was collected, provide a good or service requested by you, or reasonably anticipated within the context of our ongoing business relationship with you, or otherwise perform a contract with you;
  • Detect security incidents, protect against malicious, deceptive, fraudulent, or illegal activity, or prosecute those responsible for that activity;
  • Debug to identify and repair errors that impair existing intended functionality;
  • Exercise free speech, ensure the right of another consumer to exercise his or her right of free speech, or exercise another right provided for by law;
  • Comply with the California Electronic Communications Privacy Act pursuant to Chapter 3.6 (commencing with Section 1546) of Title 12 of Part 2 of the Penal Code;
  • Engage in public or peer-reviewed scientific, historical, or statistical research in the public interest that adheres to all other applicable ethics and privacy laws, when our deletion of the information is likely to render impossible or seriously impair the achievement of such research, if you have provided informed consent;
  • To enable solely internal uses that are reasonably aligned with consumer expectations based on the consumer’s relationship with the business;
  • Comply with a legal obligation; and
  • Otherwise use your personal information, internally, in a lawful manner that is compatible with the context in which you provided the information.

 

The Right to Non-Discrimination

California Civil Code Section 1798.125 prohibits us from discriminating against you for having exercised any of your rights on the CCPA, including by:

  • Commercial information, including records of products purchased, obtained, or considered, or other purchasing or consuming histories or tendencies, as far as they relate to your relationship with Shop LC;

Methods for Submitting Consumer Requests

Our Response Process

Upon receipt of a request, we may ask you for additional information to verify your identity. Any additional information you provide will be used only to verify your identity and not for any other purpose.

If we cannot verify the identity of the person making a request, we may deny the request and inform you.

Upon receiving a request, we will acknowledge receipt of the request within 10 calendar days. In general, we will respond to the request in writing, via mail or electronically (as per your choice), within 45 calendar days from the day we receive it; but, if necessary, we may notify you and take up to an additional 45 calendar days to respond to your request.

Please note, as per the applicable law, we are only obligated to respond to your requests twice in a 12-month period.
