Kunzite is the pink-purple, to violet-purple, variety of the mineral spodumene. Named after its founder George Frederick Kun, this stunning gem fascinates with its attractive qualities that influence its color. Due to its potential to experience color fading, kunzite is often considered to be an “evening stone,” a gem that’s worn after sundown.

Kunzite displays pink-purple to violet-purple color. Ranking between 6.5 to 7 on the Mohs scale of hardness, the gemstone is also known as Lithia amethyst. Kunzite is said to be a powerful healing stone.
